Pizza Dosa is the fusion of two popular dishes, one from south India that is mouth-watering dosa and the other is Italian cuisine’s irresistible pizza.
This Italian dosa is a kid snack option and has a rice-lentil base called dosa with sauce, Italian seasoning. veggie toppings and lots of cheese.
Mothers always hunt for kids’ snack recipes and pizza dosa is surely a big hit among kids as children love dosa, as well as pizza, and their fusion can make anyone’s mouth water so this is a perfect choice for evening snacks for kids.
Dosa batter is easily available in the market and can be kept in the fridge for a few days. Basic veggies for the topping are mostly available at home. So whenever kids come back from school, this Italian dosa can be served quickly to them.
In this kids snack recipe italian dosa
- You can experiment with the veggies topping, use corn, red bell pepper, olives, etc.
- Increase or decrease the quantity of hot and sweet sauce and red chili flakes to adjust the spice level.
- Add the cheese of your choice and make it more cheesy or less cheesy as per your wish.
How to make pizza dosa
Making veggies topping
- Firstly, heat 2 tsp olive oil in a non-stick pan, add 2 chopped onions with layers separated, and 1 chopped capsicum to it.
2. Saute them for a minute or two, switch off the gas, add chopped 2 tomatoes (without pulp). Further, sprinkle 1 tsp Italian seasoning over veggies, and stir.

3. Take 4 tbsp tomato ketchup and 2 tbsp hot and sweet tomato sauce in a bowl, mix well. Furthermore, add 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning to it.
4. Spread a ladle full of batter on medium hot tawa to make dosa. I have used ready store-bought dosa batter.
5. Once it is partially cooked, drizzle 1.5 tsp olive oil and spread 3 tbsp of mixed sauce evenly over it. Now, put the flame on low.
6. Spread 3 tbsp ( or use as required ) grated cheddar cheese over the dosa.
7. After 20-30 seconds, add seasoned onion, tomato, capsicum topping over it.
8. Additionally, spread 3 tbsp (or use as required) grated mozzarella cheese over the topping and let it melt on low flame. Also, sprinkle a pinch of red chili flakes. (optional)
9. Once the cheese is melted, switch off the gas.
Transfer the drool-worthy pizza dosa on a plate and enjoy!!

- 6 tbsp grated mozzarella cheese (use as required)
- 2 pinch red chili flakes (optiona)
