This is a kids’ favorite recipePasta in red sauce with vegetables is a good way to make children eat their favorite dish along with the goodness of veggies.

In this veg pasta recipe in red sauce:

  • I have used penne pasta. however, you can use any other pasta also.
  • This recipe has the red sauce which is homemade with fresh tomatoes. You have the option of using the canned tomatoes or market bought tomato puree.
  • The inclusion of zucchini, bell peppers, and cherry tomatoes has made this red sauce pasta even more appealing apart from increasing the nutritional value of the dish. If you want, you can skip using veggies.
  • You can increase the quantity of the cheese as per your wish. I have added grated parmesan cheese for garnishing. However, you can use grated processed cheese also

  • Do not skip the addition of mixed herbs/Italian seasoning and finely chopped garlic as these ingredients take the taste to the next level.
  • It is advisable to lightly saute the vegetables and maintain their crunch. Crunchy veggies taste better with the pasta apart from making the dish look beautiful.
